Xmt problems with dialog boxes?

I'm debugging an ancient motif app (using ICS motif version 2.0) that is core dumping with SEGV on occasion when handling dialog pop ups. It will often crash on an XtVaSetValues call for the icons and pixmaps inside AskForBool.c, or occasionally on the XtManageChild(dialog) call after the calls to XmStringFree.

Any ideas here? I know I haven't provided much info, but I'm just now starting to dig into this and figured I'd see if someone here had any suggestions.

The Ultimate Noob Question

I can't figure out the command to give xinitrc to make Motif my default window manager.

I'm on OS X, so right now the window manager launch is "exec quartz-wm", but I don't know enough UNIX to know the new command.

Little help? :)

Newbie question - list of open windows?

Hi,

Just installed motif 2.2.3 and using mwm as my window manager.

Is there an option at all to have a menu (say on middle mouse click) that will list all open windows for fast switching?

Cheers

What is wrong with the Forum?

Hello,

Whenver I try and access any of the topics in this forum, it takes me to the "Who is online" page. Does anyone else have this same problem (obviously if you are reading this, then you don't have this problem)? Some of the topics I have tried to look at involve motif and Mac OSX as I am trying to find the motif libraries for the mac. I've found several topics on the subject, but each time I click on one of the topics, all I get is the "Who is online" page.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated!

P.S. is this still an active forum?

Dtterm clone/port to Linux?

This has probably been discussed in the past, so I apologise in advance if this is the case. There's already a large number of terminal emulators in existence for Linux -- probably too many to list, but each have their own shortcomings.

Since my love for Motif is strong, I'm wondering if it is possible, or whether there is a planned clone of Dtterm for Linux. The only thing which emulates it a little bit is 'gnome-yerminal', but that is slow and uses GTK -- not good! )

Displaying multiple windows?

I'm trying to open more than 2 windows for one application when the
application starts. Can someone help me on how to do this?
Probably an example code that opens up two blank windows would be good enough?

Thanks in advance!
